    The 105 units were converted from two old warehouses that cover the entire block.  The Bemis building on the right was a bag factory built in the late 1880’s. They made bags for coffee beans, cotton bails and all kind of bulk cargo that went through the Port of New Orleans.


    The parking for most of the units in on the first floor of the Bemis Building and in a lot located behind the brick building in a large gated lot. Some units do not have parking but use nearby lots.


     My clients that have chosen this building have done it for two reasons. One is the central location of Julia Place. It is the center of the warehouse district.  It is an easy walk to the World War II Museum, Outlet Mall, Convention Center, The Super Dome, St. Charles Avenue Streetcar line, Harrah’s Casino and the French Quarter. The second reason is that they like the nice common areas and the fact that they can close the door and leave and not have to worry.


      There are a variety of units as some will open to the atrium and other will open to the outside with street views.  The Bemis Building will have concrete beams while the other side will have exposed brick and large wood beams  in mnay of the units.  The large warehouse windows and high ceiling give the exterior view units a premium grade.  


     You can enjoy the roof top pool and viewing area day and night. There are several sitting areas and bar b que grills for your use. The gym is downstairs with street views next to the secure entrance. The condo fees are still moderate for what you get.  The complex has many recent updates since the developement as completed in 2005 by the developer.
